The Georgia Gourd Society Officers & Directors would like to invite you to be an instructor at our 2019 Annual GourdFest.

We are very excited about the 2019 GourdFest & expect a huge crowd this year. The theme this year is “Fairy Tales” & we can’t wait to see all the new competition pieces created. We are planning to have a bigger & better GourdFest and more full classes than ever.

Please complete the application below & return via email, NLT May 1st , with a photo of the project to be completed in each class, (in JPG format please), to . Please be very specific in the application, regarding tools students need to bring, supplies you will provide, as well as the techniques they will learn. As a reminder, GGS collects $5 per student as teaching fees, so please remember to add $5 to the cost of your class.

This year we plan to rent a couple of spaces/booths for techniques or “make it/take it projects”. If you are interested in renting space/booth to do technique classes or “make it/take it” project please email me separately for that. We hope to have at least 2 of these booths on Saturday & Sunday if requested, for walk in guests to enjoy some creating as well.

We plan to post classes the first of June & advertise throughout local newspapers as well as social media. This will give us 3 months for getting the word out & advertising, so we can fill up the classes. We encourage the instructors to share their classes on social media, once classes are posted on our website, to get the information out to more “Gourders” & spread the Gourd news.

Please direct all questions to the same email, so we can quickly respond to your needs or concerns, again
